From 22 to 27 March 2026, eight women joined a Newcomers Crew Training organised by Why Knot Ladies in Zadar, Croatia. The training created a supportive environment for participants taking their first or next steps in sailing, combining practical learning with teamwork and networking.
During the programme, participants explored the SAILWISE methodology and its approach to safer, more inclusive and confidence-building sailing. Workshops, on-board exercises and group discussions focused on communication, crew cooperation and taking responsibility at sea.
The participants’ curiosity, energy and willingness to learn showed how the right guidance and community can help more women develop their sailing skills and confidence. SAILWISE is proud to support these journeys and encourage newcomers to stay active on the water.
